The Cross Pole Set
The cross pole set gives your round SunnyTent extra strength. Do you want to leave your SunnyTent up in winter? Then the cross pole set provides additional stability during light snow and freezing rain. Please note that due to the size of the SunnyTents, we recommend that only the SunnyTent Round size L be set up during the winter. The SunnyTent Round size L+, XL are always supplied with a cross pole set.

The Round SunnyTent

The round SunnyTent can withstand relatively strong winds due to its shape. Therefore, the cross pole set is not necessary for the SunnyTent round L. However, its use is recommended when the SunnyTent is in a windy place / exposed location. Due to its size, the round SunnyTent L+ and XL are sensitive to wind. The cross pole set makes the tent a bit stronger, but we still recommend that these SunnyTents are only suitable for sheltered, wind-free locations. Also, the SunnyTent should not be used in the winter or autumn.

Installation & Use

The cross pole set is suitable for all different SunnyTent sizes, also for installation on hard ground. You can assemble the cross-pole set in approx. 30 minutes.

Please note that after installing the cross-pole set, opening and closing your SunnyTent is a bit more difficult. The cross pole set has a full 2-year warranty.

The SunnyTent works the same as a greenhouse. In a horticultural greenhouse, the inside temperature in the period mentioned above is usually much higher than the outside temperature. A number of factors determine how quickly the water heats up. The more the sun shines, the warmer it gets inside the SunnyTent and the faster the water heats up. The amount of water and its initial temperature is also important.

The SunnyTent exhibits good wind resistance, as demonstrated in a video of the tent withstanding strong winds. However, it's advisable to fold down or fully open the SunnyTent during very high winds. For the round SunnyTent, this process takes approximately 2 minutes. You can raise or close the SunnyTent once the wind subsides. Please consult the manual for specific instructions on using your SunnyTent.

The wind strength at which you should fold down or open the SunnyTent depends on the tent's size and the exposure of the location where it is placed. If the tent is situated in a sheltered area, it can withstand higher wind forces than if it's in an open field. In general, when placed in a sheltered area, the SunnyTent Round L typically requires folding open only rarely.

Extra Strength with the Cross Pole Set: If you plan to install the SunnyTent Round size L in a more windy or exposed location, it is recommended to consider purchasing a cross pole set. This accessory provides additional strength to your SunnyTent. It's important to note that, even with the cross pole set, the SunnyTent may not withstand all wind strengths, but it can handle more wind than without the cross pole set.

Sensitivity of SunnyTent Round L+ and XL to Wind: SunnyTent Round L+ and XL models come with a cross pole set included. Due to their larger sizes, these tents are more sensitive to wind and are, therefore, less suitable for windy and exposed locations. It is advisable to always open them during windy conditions for safety.

Can I leave the SunnyTent outside during winter?

Winter Resistance: The materials used in the SunnyTent are indeed winter-resistant. However, it's important to be aware that when snow or sleet is anticipated, you should temporarily fold the SunnyTent completely open. Failing to do so may result in the tent collapsing under the weight of accumulated snow or ice. The good news is that when it snows or hails, there's typically minimal debris like leaves falling into your pool, so the pool remains clean even when the tent is temporarily folded down. Extra Support with Cross Pole Set: Using a cross pole set can provide additional strength for the SunnyTent when dealing with light snow and sleet. However, it's important to note that the SunnyTent is not designed to handle substantial amounts of snow or ice. Nevertheless, with the cross pole set, the tent can manage more snow or sleet compared to not using this accessory.

SunnyTent Round L+ and XL: The SunnyTent Round L+ and XL models are equipped with a cross pole set included. Due to their larger sizes, these tents are more sensitive to wind, snow, and ice.
